What is at the heart of Children's Ministries at St. John's?
Our primary goal is to partner with parents to nurture each person and family's faith in Jesus Christ, and to help them pass it on to friends and family. How we do this is by teaching creatively and challenging passionately each person and family to make their home a place where faith can grow and be passed down.
We are excited to invite you to visit St. John's anytime, but especially to come and experience what we offer for children! Our Sunday school classes are designed for children to enjoy themselves while they learn about God. We teach basic biblical truths and pack the learning process with fun. We want church to be a fun safe place to be for your children so they feel loved and secure, are able to build relationships with adults and peers, and grow in their faith.
We challenge our kids to love God passionately, to know God loves them with all His being, to build relationships with others, and to explore the Bible daily. We do all of this so that they will grow in their faith, be on fire for God, and become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Why we do what we do
In Holy Baptism, God welcomes your children into the church which is the body of Christ. At that time, you accepted the responsibility to provide for their faith development. You promised to bring your children to worship, teach them by your own example, and provide them instruction in the Christian faith.
